I will package them in a book - with some “previously unpublished essays” and some reflections on the journey - I guess my family knows what they’re getting for Xmas from me 😆
A note of appreciation for the gift of words you gave us. Like William, Nancy, Bernadette, Damon, Cab, Jamie, Michele and many others who eagerly awaited your missives, I will miss them. You have an extraordinary capacity to reach deeply into the hearts of your readers. I look forward to the book and to whatever you put your hand to next.
Just checked my email and read your story. It touched my heart. Although I wouldn’t say I am in my midlife. Already passed that nearing the end of my 60’s. I have children that would be considered midlife. I just want to say that when a writer touches my heart it makes me realize how grateful I am to the beautiful people who can set their words free. I’ve struggled all my life to do that. So thank you! You are a beautiful writer and wish you all the best. 💕
This is such a beautiful, thoughtful exploration of your journey. Thank you for all the beautiful writing and honesty. You're a wonderful, artful, truthful writer--and I am looking forward to the collection!
I know Substack is a place for writing, but I feel like all I can muster is a sad emoji. You're a good writer, Maureen. And, what's more, you have something to say. Killer combo. Put me on the pre-order list for the book.
Awe. I will miss your voice. Thank you for sharing yourself.
Suggestion: a book of your essays. Send to 100 publishers and maybe…
You are a renaissance woman. An inspiration. I look forward to seeing/hearing/feeling your next adventure.
Much love and deep gratitude. A final thought: you are THE most intuitive person I’ve ever known. Trust that guidance (I did!).

Find a way to let us know. I would like to order one!
You and Jen will get a signed friends and family copy 🫶🏻
You’ll be missed. I wish you the best.
I too will miss your weekly wisdom. Thank you Maureen for all the words. I am privileged to know you inside and out. Hugs!

May you go softly into your days of being human.

Well, this brought up a feeling of sadness. It also brought up appreciation for you, Maureen.
Thank you for what you've shared. Thank you for the reminder that we never really arrive, that endings are stories in and of themselves.
And may you be totally wrong about being done with writing.
I know it feels a little like a breakup - but it’s not you it’s me 😂 and thanks for the appreciation 🙏🏻
Ha. It’s not you, it’s me. 😆 Classic.

Thanks Jeff that means a lot coming from an exceptional writer like yourself
Congratulations Maureen ~~~ This has been a wonderful journey. You will continue to "suck the marrow" from life!
